| Purpose |
The 2013 biennale competition, in addition to holding to its core mission of metal crafts promotion, hopes to unfold the unlimited potential of metal crafts by strengthening the connection between metal crafts and local culture in the Shui-Jin-Jiu area and by portraying the beauty of local culture through metal crafts.
In response to New Taipei City becoming a directly administered city, the Competition expands to a larger scale, increases prize money more than ever before, and invites international metal craft professionals to participate in the jury in the hope of encouraging more metal craft artists to take part in this great event. It is hoped that the contest will not only be a grand event for metal craft artists in Taiwan but also act as a platform for exchanges among international metal craft artists. |

Entry qualifications / Submitted artwork has to be an original work created by the entrant. Entries which have been awarded any awards, prizes, or recognition in any exhibition or competition are not eligible. |

| Gold (one winner in each category of the Competition): A certificate and NT$180,000 (including archive fees). |
| Silver (one winner in each category of the Competition): A certificate and NT$100,000 (including archive fees). |
| Bronze (one winner in each category of the Competition): A certificate and NT$60,000 (including archive fees). |
| Merit Award (six winners in each category of the Competition): A certificate and NT$5,000. |
| Finalist (several winners in each category of the Competition): A certificate. |
